The new user story backlog is a map
Something I want to try. Looks interesting. Why the flat user story backlog doesn’t work, and how to build a better backlog that will help you more effectively explain your system, prioritize, and plan your releases.
I liked the bit about the backlog being leaves in a bag rather than a tree ... and the "walking the map" pic makes me realise that we already have that ... but as a published roadmap that few people see, and which probably doesn't have the required level of detail to qualify as a story map. Either way, I'm convinced that a flat backlog is a weak spot in agile methodology.
